Financially Protected Ski Holidays with Alpinium

‍Alpinium is now proudly an active member of The Travel Trust Association (TTA) and we are able to offer financially protected ski holidays to all of our guests.

The Travel Trust Association is the only travel network in the UK to guarantee 100% financial protection to the consumer, ensuring total confidence. I am sure your immediate question is…..How does it work?

1. Alpinium went through a vetting process to become a member and upon granting the membership, a trust bank account was created with the TTA’s business partner NatWest Bank.
2. So when you make a payment it goes direct to the TTA trustee account (not Alpinium).
3. This account is managed by the TTA trustees and Alpinium cannot access your funds until after your holiday.
4. So when you pay, either via a bank transfer or via a bank card payment such as Visa or Mastercard, the funds are paid directly into the TTA trustee account where Alpinium are denied access.
5. Upon completion of your holiday, the funds are transferred to Alpinium’s normal bank account.
6. So in the event of financial failure, your funds are safe in the TTA trustee account.
7. Even our card payment scheme is managed by the TTA trustees ensuring that 100% of your payments are safe.
8. Is the TTA better than ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) ?

....You bet it is!

Being an ABTA member does not guarantee against financial failure. ABTA members must follow a code of practice, this is not financial protection. Being an ABTA member  does not mean your money is safe.

9. What about ATOL?...Well now…. ATOL (Air Travel Organisers License) is for flight providers. Don’t get confused. Only flight providers require an ATOL and that is the law. ATOL licenses are issued (and underwritten) by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).  But check your flight provider’s ATOL number before you book for credibility.
10. What about credit card providers?....Paying by credit card does give you extra protection. If the supplier you have paid is unable to provide the holiday purchased, you are entitled to a refund from the credit card provider. They in turn, will chargeback the cost to the holiday provider under contractual obligations.

SUMMARY – FINANCIALLY PROTECTED SKI HOLIDAYS

Our TTA membership offers the maximum 100% amount of financial protection available for our guests. When paying either by credit card or by bank transfer, your money sits safe in a TTA trustee controlled bank account until after you’ve had your holiday. In the unlikely event of our financial failure, simply contact the TTA and they will offer you an alternative holiday or provide a full refund.
