1 - Roche de Mio to Champagny.
This is the longest run possible on piste in a single descent and starts from the top of Roche de Mio at 2739m. The first section is on the blue Levasset piste which takes you down to Borselliers where there is a lovely restaurant with a large sunny terrace, also called Borselliers, a convenient stop for coffee or lunch. By using the red Les Bois piste you can ski all the way down to Champagny en Vanoise at 1250 m returning on the Champagny gondola
2 - Verdons to Champagny en Vanoise using the Mont de la Guerre piste (red)
Note that this piste is only open for part of the season when snow conditions allow. This run starts at the top of Les Verduns at 2500m and descends to Champagny en Vanoise at 1250m by a route nature (a run that is not pisted). After fresh snowfall, this is a magnificent route with views over the Vanoise national park accessible to a red run level skier. The route starts on the Bozelet piste and leaves this piste to the right about 1/3 of the way down. The first part is open snowfields and this changes to forest in the final part. A wonderful spot for a picnic is half way down next to some summer chalets.
3 - Black Run skiers only-From the Glacier take the Traversee chair and start on the Combe red run.
After the first slope, head to the right on a black piste that eventually divides into Le Rochu and Bellecote, both of which are formidable black runs that take you to the bottom of the Chalet de Bellecote chairlift. From here continue down the valley on Le Derochoir, a black route nature which eventually becomes a blue track alongside a stream along to Les Bauches where there is an excellent restaurant for lunch. The nearby Bauches chairlift takes you back towards Plagne Bellecote. For Blue run skiers, ski from the top of Arpette to the Vanoise Express on a series of blue pistes-Replat, Dos Rond and Mont Blanc which start on open snowfields and then become pistes through the forest. This route also takes you to Montchavin and Les Coches.
